Even when I win it takes 10 minutes with me constantly at 1 spirit gauge unless I get backsteps that actually work. The "weak to hidden artes" thing doesn't seem to matter as they just block and dodge everything. I don't even know what to do against these guys, especially when they have buddies with wide area attacks that stun you constantly. You can uninstall it if you want afterwards. It's just there to activate players 2-4 and then it's forever saved on the game. I will say the Vjoy thing is extremely easy and you never have to mess with it again, literally. You're past the no-questions asked threshold and have to talk to support, which is infamous for being slow and bad. You think Steam will give me a refund? I'll just play the game at a later time on the PS4.

I got the AI bug playing the steam version and don't want to bother with virtual controllers to "fix" it. That's one way to get ahead in life, but nothing beats an axe to the face. I guess I'll post this again since I still can't explain it very well: Iron Stance = don't take hit-stun.īasically I just shortcut spells and use them at the end of spear combos or directly out of Break Soul. If you're getting staggered out of artes try equipping a title that increases the iron stance per *. I haven't actually messed with her enough outside of swapping for quick spell use to know if any of her martials are good for getting distance as well. Ideally you put all of your spells at 3/4 and then either just pure step-step-cast/step-step-step-cast or work a backstep into a martial combo, like martial-martial-backstep-cast or martial-backstep-backstep-cast depending on how much distance you want to take. Spells cast faster the further they are into a chain and steps quite literally "step" through chains as well. Strike Zwei seems completely pointless too, since most of the enemies I've fought either stay low enough to the ground that it misses or is launched high enough that it misses. I'm also not having a lot of luck using either Shock Drum to pick up downed enemies, since her BS has such a small area of effect it will often launch only 1-2 enemies while the rest start pummeling you and interrupting Shock Drum. But she also deals really bad damage if she doesn't use her spells, so it seems like you kinda have to? Since most of your attacks, despite you having a spear are extremely close-range (more so than the actual fist fighter) you're constantly right up in the middle of the enemies, and as such it's nearly impossible to get a spell off without being interrupted. I get that everyone has a mix of artes (martial/hidden, hidden/malak, etc.) but the combination of martial and malak artes just seems. The more I try to play her, the less she makes sense. (unrelated) Question for people here who play Eleanor: Do you mix in a lot of Malak Artes? Thanks! Does that mean I can actually get out of those infinite stun situations now? That would be great!
